ABOUT US

Passion and Tradition

The Trattoria Giordani in Chiampo, in the province of Vicenza, is a historic establishment that has been offering quality traditional Venetian cuisine since 1950.
It was established by Valentino Giordani, known as Valente. He was the one to create this tavern near the Chiampo stream, offering simple but flavorful dishes meant to nourish both travelers and locals.
In 1990, the transformation into a trattoria was completed, still under the management of the Giordani family and with a desire to best combine tradition and innovation, offering high-quality dishes, carefully prepared down to the smallest details.
Recently, our trattoria was awarded by the Veneto Region as a "Historic Establishment".

OUR TEAM

THE CUISINE

We are always very careful in selecting our raw materials, which are always seasonal and preferably local. We cook them expertly with the love and passion passed down in our family.
Among the specialties of our trattoria, there is definitely game, which we prepare following traditional recipes, bringing out the best aromas and flavors through correct tenderizing, a long marinating process and strict respect for cooking times.
We usually accompany it with good local polenta or other traditional side dishes.


THE COURSES

STARTERS

Among our starters, we always offer rich platters of selected meats and cheeses. We also recommend trying our savory pies with seasonal greens, eggplant parmigiana, and various seasonal omelettes such as the one with hops.
FIRST COURSES

For our first courses, we have a variety of risottos, bigoli with duck or pigeon ragu, fettuccine with porcini and truffle, truffle gnocchi, and the classic Valeggio tortelli with capon. And for seafood lovers, we always have spaghetti or linguine with lobster.
MAIN COURSES

You can enjoy various beef fillets, cuts, guinea fowl in the oven with almonds, roast chicken with plums, local goat with rosemary and fried polenta, stuffed rabbit. And for those who prefer fish, we have sea bass or turbot with salt and Vicenza-style cod.
DESSERTS

To sweetly end a lunch or a dinner, we suggest our spoon desserts and various sorbets.

OUR WINES

Wines and bubbles for all tastes

Our wine list is of great interest, offering excellent labels for red, rosé, and white wines, constantly expanding and updating.
We range from the best Venetian wines (Cabernet, Merlot and Valpolicella) to Brunello di Montalcino or Pinot Nero from South Tyrol. Of course, we also have sparkling wines.

Our staff will be able to advise you on the right pairing with our dishes.
